Designed to meet the expectations of high-fidelity enthusiasts, the MM7025 represents the culmination of decades of Marantz expertise in audio amplification. This stereo power amplifier delivers 140 watts per channel at 8 ohms, incorporating technologies derived from the Reference series while maintaining a compact format and an accessible price point.
The MM7025 features a brushed aluminum front panel enhanced with a reinforced glass resin panel. At the center, the blue backlit porthole—a visual signature borrowed from the Reference series—allows you to monitor the operating status. This aesthetic approach is rooted in the original creations of Saul Marantz, the founder of the brand in 1953.
With its compact dimensions (440 × 352 × 126 mm) and 10.3 kg weight, the amplifier easily integrates into any setup. The oversized EI transformer, selected after extensive listening tests, plays a central role in the internal architecture. Heat dissipation is achieved through a silent ventilated tunnel that maintains optimal temperatures even during intensive use.
The MM7025 employs a current feedback architecture, providing a constant bandwidth regardless of gain and a fast transient response. The bandwidth extends from 8 Hz to 100 kHz.
The HDAM-SA3 (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) circuits form another pillar of the design. These discrete modules replace standard integrated circuits with selected components, reducing noise and improving dynamics. The power supply relies on an EI transformer feeding capacitors totaling 30,000 µF, ensuring an energy reserve for musical transients. The LAPT output transistors, identical to those in the SM-11S1 Reference, provide stable driving of difficult loads.
Each channel has independently switchable RCA (1.2 V) and XLR (2.4 V) inputs. The gold-plated binding posts accept all types of connections. For system integration, the MM7025 offers trigger inputs/outputs, Marantz bus, and infrared input. The detachable power cord and optional rack kit facilitate installation.
With 140W/8Ω and 170W/6Ω, a damping factor of 100, distortion of 0.03%, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 105 dB, the MM7025 delivers performance capable of comfortably driving most loudspeakers.

The MM7025 is a dedicated power amplifier, without preamplification or volume and tone controls. It requires a separate preamplifier or an integrated amplifier with pre-out outputs to function. This separate architecture allows for better isolation between circuits, a more generous power supply, and thus superior performance in terms of dynamics and speaker control.
Use the pre-out outputs of your integrated amplifier to the RCA or XLR inputs of the MM7025. Then connect your main speakers directly to the MM7025. Volume control is still done from your integrated amplifier, which acts as a preamplifier. The small potentiometers on the back of the MM7025 are only used to adjust the input level; they are set once and then remain in position.
With 140 watts at 8 ohms and 170 watts at 6 ohms, combined with a robust power supply and current feedback circuits, the MM7025 comfortably drives most speakers on the market. Its damping factor of 100 and instantaneous current capacity allow it to maintain control even with complex loads. For particularly demanding speakers (impedance dropping below 4 ohms), the five-channel MM7055 model could be used in a bi-amped configuration.

Mükemmel güç amplifikatörü. Marantz PM8006 ile bir çift Focal 926 kitaplık hoparlörü bağladım. Harika bir ses elde ettim. Amplifikatör artık sadece bir çift Focal 906 hoparlör için kullanılıyor. CD'lerimi yeniden keşfettim.
